How We Design
Three words sum it up best: content, content, content. In an age where everyone seems to be starting a movement, and every company has social initiatives, content is more important than ever to engage audience. But we’re getting a bit ahead of ourselves. Before advising on any initiative, product, or piece of media we start with a true understanding of an organization’s desired impact, and a pragmatically bold plan to drive action.

Branding
We work with a team of veteran brand strategists to understand your brand narrative – what story do you want to tell? The next step is to understand “who” you want to talk to – we work to frame your brand and ready it for impact by clearly defining audiences and markets.
Ideation and Innovation
After understanding an organization’s story and market, we commence work with a deep creative talent roster to begin the process of ideation. We’ve even worked with clients where a new or redefined product itself is the campaign or market strategy — we don’t constrain our thinking, or a client’s potential.
Content Creation
For clients looking for an end-to-end solution, we develop (and sometimes manage) the content creation process. Every website, video, picture, word, podcast, blog, brochure (we mean everything) starts with insight into the organization.
About
The Longitude is led by J.Todd Smith. Todd has deep social innovation roots having, among other initiatives, started a top Wall Street Journal-ranked socially-focused mutual fund, and a multi award-winning upcycled product company. He has worked with numerous organizations to craft high impact social innovation brand and market strategies by mining both blackspace (defined) and whitespace (potential but unplanned) market opportunities.
He is a board member of StartingBloc, a New York-based nonprofit that works with emerging leaders to drive social innovation in the for-profit, public sector, and nonprofit arenas.
